The Trinity School Story
“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility—these three forces are the very nerve of education.” Dr. Rudolf Steiner
Trinity School
Trinity School was founded in 2015 by a group of parents and teachers inspired to provide extraordinary education. In 2017 we moved to a permanent location on 3 beautiful acres adjoining the Big Wood River in Bellevue. We share the site with our chickens, four Nigerian Dwarf goats, and three rabbits, as well as the deer, elk, quail, hawks, and multiple songbirds that live in the river bottom. Our 30' insulated yurt with heat, plumbing, electricity, and wood floors provides a magical space for learning. Trinity School is headed by Travis Scott, who receives daily support in the classroom from a wonderful group of assistant and subject teachers.
What does the name "Trinity" signify?
First, it refers to the three aspects of the child that we seek to develop - thinking, feeling, and willing.
Second, we see education as a cooperative endeavor involving the child, the teachers, and the parents.
Third, we strive to positively impact the child, the family, and the community.
So "Trinity School" reminds us of the trio of trines we seek to embody .

Mr. Matt
WOODWORKING TEACHER
Through out his life Mr. Matt has always gravitated towards creating and fixing things. As a youngster, playing in saw dust piles and pounding nails into anything he could find were some of Mr. Matt’s favorite ways to help. As Mr. Matt grew he built tree houses and bike jumps, and furthered his skills in middle and high school woodshop. His dad had a small garage workshop where he continued his love for wood working by building bird houses for anyone who remotely mentioned they liked them. Mr. Matt is in his second year as the Woodworking teacher at Trinity School, and his enthusiasm, warmth, and skill, are loved by students and staff alike.
